No wonder I shy and stay away from this account; it is the one where I’ll find daily a load of e-mails from different accounts I would have to hire a complete office crew.

But perhaps with a bit of organization and the right tools and using them correctly, might just be of a lot of help.

My horoscope for January 23, 2009 (that was only yesterday)

You have a strong will and accomplish whatever you set out to do. But from time to time you need the support and encouragement of others to help push you over any trouble spots.

Alas, such support is likely not forthcoming today. Your usual supporters may be feeling threatened by the changes and advancements occurring in your life. They may fear you are leaving them behind.

Do what you can to reassure them, but don’t let their fears get in the way of your progress. Onward and upward!

All that came to light today how true this was! For right now I just am gonna sit down, watch the Idiot Box for a bit and digest what really happened today and yesterday and try to put it all in a right perspective!

Build and they will come… – or so it used to be. Nowadays it’s Lead and they will follow.

SATURDAY @ 3 p.m. – you know where it’s at! All we need now is to get Perry, Phil and Chico to come out to complete the old crew!

And more were curious after we walked into the PUB with our cleats on just like the way it was.

Since several of our oldtimers are living as far as Miami, perhaps a once a month little tournament would be great. With a bit of effort I believe we could hold a tournament, yet us more advanced in age just play a game versus some selected players while the young could have their little Copa Del Mundo at the H.O.B. Field.

The response was just incredible and we all know it’s the way to go before we starting completely to rust. And with the Key West attitude and "humidity" this can happen real fast.

I’ll be letting you know within a couple of days.

More than a couple of days….

It was a great little Run and thanks to a couple of younger guys out there on the field who kept us old ones from collapsing and kept the game going.

Alex (58), Dan (51), Carlos (still young), myself (60) and a couple of brits – add the 3 czechs in the equation and the result was excellent. The get together afterwards at SHANNA KEY and after a few brews and round table talk we all agreed this is something too good to give up!

Yesterday, Saturday, Feb. 2, we had our second game with newer (old, familiar) faces showing up, now people are believing in this weekly event and more will show up within a month. A 6 on 6 with old friends from 20 – 25 years ago in a casual pick up game, after watching the important games on TV in the morning as motivators, one can’t just beat that.

There’s more on a different blog but which one I have no Idea right now.

Please remember, I am very busy writing my essay for my Phd. on ADD!

So I received a few calls and e-mails to wish me a "Happy Birthday", but all in all it hasn’t hit me at all yet; and it is already 4 p.m.!

About the Soccer Game for this weekend – the game will be played on Saturday instead of Sunday and the location still has to be decided.

Oldtimer Game Scheduled!

To celebrate the 60th. birthday of one of the early Kickers here in Key West an appropriate "OLD-TIMER Game" is scheduled to be played on the soccer field behind H.O.B. School. The date is definitive, Sunday, January 27 yet starting time has yet to be determent.

More details during the week as news of the condition of one of the early players triggle in which may change the format of the game and evtl. tournament.

Stay Tuned – with the connection problem Comcast and my modem it’s either TV or the Net. We do need new wiring in this house!
